LOCATION PLANNING – A MAJOR TASK FOR EVERYONE INVOLVED

After an expansion market has been determined in compliance with country-specific criteria such as economic growth, income and politics, we first evaluate individual locations and the competition, and locate interesting real estate.

Key location criteria are site, sales area and of course purchase or rental conditions. Then the store can be planned: definition of the individual departments, as well as location of the cash desks and walking zones. Then the rear panels and merchandise fixtures are designed. After that, construction begins. Floors, ceilings, rear panels and merchandise carriers are fitted. When all of the construction measures are completed, the area is handed over to sales.

Now the merchandise that has already been ordered by central purchasing can be delivered by the logistics and merchandise handling departments. The sales staff and visual merchandisers prepare everything for the opening presentation in accordance with P&C standards.
