How do I apply?

The minimum of time should be 8 weeks or 2 months.

An internship in our company can begin at any time. An internship is possible in the following head office divisions of Peek & Cloppenburg KG Düsseldorf or Vienna, among others: buying, marketing, in-house consulting, controlling, finance and accounting, and human resources. A sales-orientated internship is possible in any of our stores.

In addition to being involved in day-to-day business and project-related tasks, you will receive varied insights into the processes and structures of our company. As part of project-orientated activities, you have the opportunity to implement your knowledge and skills. We especially value personal responsibility, commitment and the communication skills.

We would prefer you to focus your interest on a maximum of two to three areas. In that case, we will process your documents – keeping all of our divisions in mind – and compare your qualification profile to the requirements of the individual departments. Please list the locations and areas that you would consider for your application(s) for an internship.

Applications can be submitted at any time because we have no fixed start dates for internships. Please submit your application at least three months before the date on which you would like to begin.

Currently we offer 20 to 25 internships in Austria and Eastern Europe within one year.

To start an internship in our company, you should ideally have already completed the first two semesters of your course of study (e.g. in business management or the fashion area). It would also be ideal if your area of concentration is part of the area in which you would like to do your internship or you already have some experience in that area. Particularly for an internship in in-house consulting, we require you to have first completed an internship in a consultancy.

You should share our enthusiasm for fashion and lifestyle. Analytical skills are an advantage. And we value communication skills, commitment, and team and customer orientation.

We have a two-phase selection procedure as follows:

• -    Preselection on the basis of the applications received
• -    Interview at our human resources head office in Vienna or in one of our stores.

We offer internships in the sales department in our stores in Poland.

Furthermore we offer interships in the central buying department and in human resources in Austria. For an internship in Austria it is necessary to have excellent commands of German and English.

At Peek & Cloppenburg, we always pay interns. In addition, all interns receive a company discount. We will also be happy to support your search for a flat if the internship is not located near your place of residence or we will contribute to your commuting costs.

Our interns receive the amount of paid holiday specified in the Federal Leave Act of the particular country. You will receive an amount based on the duration of your internship.

If you are interested in continuing to work for our company after your internship, we offer students the Junior Trainee Programme (JTP). The JTP is a special training programme of Peek & Cloppenburg that allows students to acquire practical experience early as student help in one of the stores. Of course, personally adapted to their courses of study and time frames, JTP participants also complete a trainee course at the same time. In addition, junior trainees acquire their first insight into central buying and accompany business managers in their day-to-day business.

The best time to begin with JTP is in the first year of studies, but 18 months before graduating at the latest.

After graduating and completing JTP, you can directly enter your first responsible position as a departmentmanager/assistant department manager or a junior product manager in one of the central divisions of Peek & Cloppenburg KG Düsseldorf or Vienna. There is nothing to stop you from continuing your career by going into store management, business management, central buying or our brand management, for example.

It is always possible to write a thesis in cooperation with Peek & Cloppenburg. But P&C will not propose a subject.
