Contents of the Study Programme

The Dual Study Programme with Peek&Cloppenburg combines a Bachelor Degree (B.A.) in Business Management with Practical Experience on the sales floor at a Peek&Cloppenburg Store.

Practical Component

The practical experience gives you the possibility to get to know P&C’s core business – sales. From the very first day, you will be fully immersed in the action and get to know all the processes and structures of a Peek&Cloppenburg store.

What you can expect:

Full-time (40h/week) sales position at P&C with a full-time salary. In addition, you will have 5 extra days off per month for your studies – the so-called Learning Days.
Your duties will include customer service, product presentation, sales promotion and sales analyses.
You will rotate through various departments and gain practical experiences, from decoration to administration and goods handling, thereby getting to know all aspects of the business.
You will have seminars and career events throughout the programme.
Step by step, you will be prepared for your sales career in fashion retail.

University Component

Our partner university is the SRH Distance Learning University – The Mobile University.

What you can expect:

Bachelor Programme in Business Management (B.A.) developed specifically for Peek & Cloppenburg (See curriculum).
The University is 100 % Online. This includes lectures, exams and all activities concerning the university.
The study language is English. A level of B1 in English is a prerequisite.
Experienced lecturer from the business world will teach you up-to-date, job specific and business-related knowledge and skills.

Upon successful completion of your studies, you will be hired as an assistant department manager having the opportunity to advance your career and become a department manager where you take on responsibility for staff and sales. What does an Assistant Department Manager in Sales do?

In this role, you will work closely with the department manager making decisions to help improve turnover and sales figures. You will be the communication link between your team and the department manager, motivating and inspiring your team to succeed. Additionally, you will ensure an appealing store layout implementing visual merchandising guidelines to boost sales. You will also focus on delivering exceptional customer service and help in the daily management of your sales floor, ensuring that everything is running smoothly.

How does the dual study programme differ from a conventional degree course?

Next to the online University, you will work as a full-time sales assistant (40h/week) at one of our stores with a full-time based salary. You will get 5 additional days off from work for your Learning Days, so that you have enough time to study.

What requirements do I need to fulfil as a dual student and which interests should I have?

You should have successfully completed your Matura (Baccalaureate, equiv. to A-Levels) or equivalent university entrance qualification, have very good English knowledge (B1 Level) and share our enthusiasm for fashion. Sense of style, initiative and commitment, strong communication skills and team orientation are also an advantage.

In which sales outlets can I complete the practical component of my studies?

At the moment, you can complete the Dual Study Programme in:

Is there an application deadline?

Yes, the application deadline for the start on 1 September 2025 is 31 August 2025.

Will I be taken on after graduation?

Yes, once you have completed your studies, you will have opportunities for further development – something for which you will have been prepared during your studies. In sales, you will take on shared responsibility for staff and floor space as an assistant department manager in one of our stores. With the right level of performance and personal commitment, you could be on your way to becoming Department Manager and General Sales Manager.

I am studying at another university – can I transfer to your programme?

This will need to be determined on a case-by-case basis.

Is it possible to attend a university near me?

Unfortunately, this is not possible, as we want to ensure that all dual students have the same level of knowledge and can exchange information regularly.

Are the tuition fees for the dual study programme covered?

Yes, P&C will pay all your tuition fees.
