For the role of Assistant Department Manager, we prepare those with some work experience in the field of fashion – but also from other industries – for a first management position.
No matter whether you have many years of work experience or have just finished your education – we will work out an individual training plan with you, filled with internal seminars on subjects such as merchandise management or leadership principles, which will prepare you perfectly for your future role in the company. The training ranges from six to eight weeks of on-the-job training that is specially adapted to department management, and which is rounded out with theoretical training in our headquarters in Vienna.
You have already gained sales experience, preferably in fashion retail, e.g. as a shop assistant or shop manager. You have a high affinity with aesthetic objects and an assured sense of style. You are also committed, dynamic and ambitious. A well-developed ability to think and act independently is the basic requirement for further development within the company. We also expect you to be flexible.
During 6-8 weeks of intensive on-the-job training, you will gain experience in management responsibilities. At the same time, you will also be trained via our modular courses and seminars.
After proving yourself successfully as an assistant department manager, the next step is to advance to the position of department manager, where you will have sole responsibility for the turnover and staff in your department. From this point onwards, you will be faced with a huge variety of different tasks and will have the chance to contribute your individual strengths to Peek & Cloppenburg.
